My interest in fitness and wellness began while serving in the United States Navy on a ballistic missile submarine. I passed the time by working out and educating and assisting my shipmates to do the same. I began to compete in bodybuilding competitions and further educated myself in nutrition and various other movement systems. In 2000, I suffered a torn ACL and began my rehabilitation at MedSport, a sports and occupational rehab clinic. Upon completion of my rehab process, I began a 4 year period of employment, at the clinic, under the tutelage of Physical therapists, Chiropractors, and Kinesiologists. Working with and monitoring patients recovering from virtually every orthopedic malady helped mold my philosophy of functionality and balance.
Working with insurance companies and the restrictive confines of our medical system inspired me to find another way to help people achieve their fitness and wellness goals. Becoming a fitness professional was a seamless transition and I’ve never looked back. I believe our health and thereby our body is a gift and should be treated as such. Balance and functionality are paramount in any fitness regimen. Bench pressing a lot of weight is great, but if you can’t get up off the floor or you are in chronic pain from imbalances, it doesn’t mean much. So whatever your health and fitness goals are, let me help you create and execute a plan to achieve them
